The original M42 HBT uniform was named partly after the fabric they were made from, cotton herringbone twill. We decided to take it in a more refined direction and opted for a warmer and softer fabric. The Midway CPO features a yarn dyed melton wool blend that was made in Japan. The fabric is comfortable and soft to the touch, but sturdy enough to feel at home on a military inspired piece. It is unlined for added versatility, and can be worn either as an outer layer or as a mid-layer under heavier outerwear. For the finishing touch, we had buttons custom made in Italy using genuine horn.
