Heptown Records proudly presents Clear Light the full length debut from Cherry Overdrive, one of Copenhagen's loudest bands (Lowcut). Cherry Overdrive consists of four seasoned female underground rockers that mix straight up garage rock with a 60s twist and psyche stoner rock.
Cherry Overdrive had a packed 2006: recording, playing show cases (danish national radio), Heptown Records signing them, two tours abroad, headlining an austrian rock festival, releasing their first Heptown release and having it played regularly on danish national radio.
Clear Light is the fruit of many joined efforts. Among others Ralph Rjelly (Black Tornado), Willi Dammeier (Institut Für Wohlklangforschung), Lorenzo Woodrose (Baby Woodrose), JT (C.A.P.S, The Burnouts, Gutter Island, Lowcut magazine) have had their hands dirtied from working on this album.
Cherry Overdrive is not letting off in 2007. With the release of Clear Light, appearing on a prestigious surf compilation, making videos and the a promotion/booking campaign aimed towards Denmark Sweden and Germany the new year seems to be as hectic as 2006.
Clear Light will be released in Denmark, Sweden, Norway large parts of Europe as well as Japan, Australia and Canada during the spring. The album will be available as a CD digipack as well as a 12” vinyl LP.
