Paraboot is one of the very few footwear brands that produces its own natural rubber soles in-house, continuing a tradition that began after the founder discovered vulcanized rubber on a trip to the United States in the early 20th century. The name “Paraboot” comes from Pará, the Brazilian port where natural latex rubber was sourced.This commitment to making their own ‘’in-house’’ soles ensures exceptional durability, long-term comfort, and authentic French craftsmanship.

A core Paraboot signature is the Norwegian welt — an advanced, double-stitched construction method that enhances water resistance, increases durability, allows easy resoling and repair, and provides superior stability and structure.

Unlike standard Goodyear welting, the Norwegian welt uses a reversed external welt and extra stitching for maximum resilience, making Paraboot ideal for everyday wear in all weather conditions.
