DEZERTER is probably the most important band of Polish punk. In 2021, they're celebrating their 40th birthday. Deprived of the possibility to play live shows, they have recorded one of the strongest albums in their discography. Klamstwo to nowa prawda is made up of 9 very intense tracks, both in terms of lyrics, and the energy in these tunes. The track list is rather short and consistent, worthy of punk rock urchins, astutely commenting the populists in power, the threat of fascism and . idiocy. Released in January 2021, the 14th album by Dezerter has echoed far and wide across Poland. Listeners have been sharing their views on it in squats and universities (sic), and it was even mentioned in media that seem largely incongruent with punk.
