Son of a Gun! It's a Civil War tale of a magic bullet that passed from a soldier on the battlefield to a nearby house where it struck a woman and got her pregnant. Nine months and two days after the woman was wounded, she gave birth to a baby boy, who it was later discovered had the bullet in him. Capers was called in to remove a piece of ammunition - a minie ball - from the boy, "mashed and battered" and "hard and roughened." Like this tale, we are suckers for legends and the legendary, and as such this pendant replicates all of that-- an unlikely miracle!
