These jeans are cut from a substantial 16 oz Japanese greencast selvedge denim. The greencast effect comes from sulfur-treated warp yarns that are overdyed with indigo, giving the fabric a subtle green undertone that reveals itself as the denim fades. Combined with the wide, straight fit, the heavier fabric becomes exceptionally comfortable once broken in, while maintaining outstanding durability.
True to Freenote's philosophy, the Modesto is finished with period-correct details and premium materials throughout. From the button fly and two-piece waistband to reinforced pockets and custom hardware, every element serves both function and longevity. As with all Freenote Cloth denim, the Modesto is proudly sewn in the USA.
