The Drum Keepers blanket is part of Pendleton’s exclusive College Fund collection, created in partnership with the American Indian College Fund. Each purchase helps provide scholarships for Native American students and supports tribal colleges, making it more than just a blanket—it’s a contribution to education and cultural preservation.
The design is by Trey Blackhawk (Winnebago), a graduate of Little Priest Tribal College in Nebraska. Inspired by powwows, drumming, singing, and his family’s beading and sewing traditions, Trey weaves personal heritage into his work. Alongside his artistry, he is also a farmer committed to healing the land, growing food, and caring for animals. Through his design, the blanket honors tradition, community, and the cycles of life, while supporting future generations.
