Tattoo workshops, dancing lessons, custom build cars,...there is truly heaven for the rockabilly and roots lovers amongst us.
The soundtrack is also part of heaven if you ask me, with tracks from the Go Getters (Ronnie Dawson Tribute),The Blue Grass Boogie Man (Lowdown Blues), Johnny Horsepower (Lonesome blues), Ray Campi (Rockabilly Man) and many many more. Yet I like to point out three tracks that are truly excellent and peak out above the rest. Not that they are so much better, but they have something different about them that the rest lack. First of all their is Black Raven with their excellent cover of Ruby Don't take your Love to town, originally performed by Johnny Darrel, but made famous by Kenny Rogers and the first edition. The song is politically bound with the Vietnam war but is of course also a great love song.or at least a song about a broken heart. Secondly "To fall in love" from Jack Baymoore attracts a lot of attention as well. Sung in a typical Presley Vegas style, this is without doubt one of the better tunes to be found on this record. Last but not least there is a good cover version of J'attendrai by Gerry Lee & the Wanted men. I know only the Edith Piaf version of thi song and was never quite impressed with that one, but the rendition form Gerry Lee is simply said Marvellous.
Not only a great soundtrack for a weekender but a great soundtrack for the summer.
