"Five Legged Dog" presents itself as an acoustic collection of 36 songs spanning the band's entire career and including a few covers. This album then takes a measured sample of their recorded works, alternating selections from the "Big Business" era albums, "Nude With Boots", "The Bride Screamed Murder", "(A) Senile Animal", and the tragically underrated "Bulls and Bees", and associating them with old pagan favorites "Stoner Witch", "Honky and Houdini". Melvins fans will scour the 36-song list, which includes "Edgar The Elephant", "Revolve", "The Bit", "Hooch", "Anaconda", "Billy Fish", as well as an acoustic version of " Honey Bucket". But beware, don't get me wrong, when we talk about the acoustic version, these are heavy, plagiaristic, cavernous and often brutal interpretations.
