Karlsson’s warm, expressive voice gives the material both intimacy and emotional weight, moving between melancholy, darkness, love and hope. The album also features guest appearances from The Tallest Man on Earth, Moonica Mac and Sara Parkman, adding further colour to its rich acoustic sound.
A thoughtful and atmospheric record that brings Selma Lagerlöf’s world into the present while remaining firmly rooted in Swedish folk tradition. A must for fans of Sofia Karlsson, Swedish folk and singer-songwriters, traditional Scandinavian music and poetic, story-driven songwriting.
