Her 2nd solo album is a far cry from her own musical past, as she has now stepped into character as an independent and expressive artist, full of self-assurance, taking her place among Danish bands and artists with essence and integrity.
''God Bless Education'' contains 10 raw examples of Maya Albana's song-writing, sound and voice, and is the best work ever from the Danish singer.
The love of coarse, edgy alternative rock is undeniable, and together with a team of Denmark's best mucisians, Albana has created an album that many predict to be one of the most surprising releases of 2004.
''God Bless Education'' is written by Maya Albana, and produced and arranged in cooperation with guitarist Lars Skjærbæk (Tim Christensen, the best selling Danish rock act); mixing is done by Magnus Groth (Sort Sol, Pleasure Machine and others). Other contributing performers are: Camille Jones, bass player Nicolai Munch Hansen and the two Kashmir band-members Asger Techau and Henrik Lindstrand on drums and keyboards respectively.
''God Bless Education'' was released March 22nd 2004 by Cope Records.
