URBAN SURF KINGS were nominated for a Canadian Aboriginal Music Award (best instro CD, 2004), for a Genie Award (best Canadian Soundtrack, 1999, ´´Canadian Oscars´´), and won the soundtrack award at the Atlantic Film Festival (1999) for their work on director Thom Fitzgerald´s feature film Beefcake. Other soundtrack work includes the feature films ´´the Event´´ and ´´That Boy´´, the theme for the animated series ´´Wenchell Bogum´´, the theme for the Playboy Animation finalist ´´Sexxxy Doll´´, and the short ´´Giant Cow´´. Their music appears in the Hawaiian lifestyle tv show Boardstories, and other extreme sports videos. Several tunes from the ´´Get Instro-MeNTAL!´´ CD appear in the new television series ´´15-Love´´.
