Red Wing
Red Wings best-selling boot gets a fresh spin this season with Hawthorne Abilene roughout leather. Hawthorne Abilene is an archival leather that was first introduced by Red Wing in 1959. In 1989, it was debuted in the Japanese market as a limited edition 6-inch Moc, sold with the Irish Setter branding. The material was hugely popular and has been an iconic in Japan ever since. Now, for the first time, we're bringing it in line and offering it globally. The roughout leather develops a beautiful, worn in patina over time, making this a boot that can be worn during spring, but easily transition and complement darker fall styles too.

Red Wing Shoes began making moc-toe boots in the 1950s for sportsmen. Farm and factory workers quickly took to the boots for their all-day comfort and lasting durability. The crescent-shaped toe stitching is inspired by the construction of moccasins originally worn by the North American Algonquin Indians.
