1950s Rebel Cinema Re-Engineered in Tuscany
The “Brando” Waxed Canvas Cap draws direct inspiration from the original rider cap worn by Marlon Brando in The Wild One (1953). The film marked an indelible turning point in post-war culture, crystallizing the emerging motorcycle subculture into a universal symbol of independence, mechanical freedom, and youthful defiance. Brando’s stripped-down uniform—an asymmetrical leather jacket, roll-cuffed denim, engineer boots, and a tilted rider cap—established an enduring visual language that continues to define authentic heritage menswear.
Created in close collaboration with Tuscan hatmakers Super Duper Hats, this piece revisits that mid-century silhouette with uncompromising Italian craftsmanship, balancing historical attitude with weather-proof utility.
Halley Stevensons 12 oz Desert Waxed Canvas
To withstand road grime, driving rain, and stiff winds, the shell is built from 12 oz Desert Waxed Canvas woven and finished by the legendary Scottish mill Halley Stevensons in Dundee. Unlike greasy, wet-wax finishes, the Desert finish is dry to the touch while maintaining exceptional water, wind, and dirt resistance.
The canvas undergoes an intensive tumbling process that softens its initial rigidity, producing subtle tonal variations and a broken-in, weathered patina right out of the box. As you pack it into saddlebags or wear it through rainstorms, the fabric continues to crease and evolve alongside your journey.
Vicenza Steerhide & Pure Silk Lining
Every detail reflects old-world Italian haberdashery. The visor and structural trims are cut from full-grain steerhide tanned in Vicenza, known for its dense grain and durability. Inside, a natural leather sweatband conforms to your forehead as you wear it, while a full lining of 100% black silk ensures comfortable, friction-free wear that won't mat down hair or trap excess moisture.
