In the late 1960s, young Americans came together to create a movement that would eventually span the globe. Inspired by the anti-war protests, college students organized environmental teach-ins, and people started to acknowledge the effect they were having on the environment. From coast to coast, excitement spread as local activists volunteered to support the cause and spark change. Levi’s® Vintage Clothing’s new collection, Project Survival, celebrates the events leading up to the very first Earth Day in 1970. It’s our homage to those who rebelled against the status quo and strove to make a positive impact for all of us here on this planet.
