During the 1970's, the newly invented open-end spinning of yarns became popular due to its less labor intensive and higher-speed spinning. These yarns have a fuzzier structure than ring spun spinning, giving them a ''hairier character''. This is exaggerated by not applying a singeing finish that eliminates protruding fibers. this denim is created to achieve that hairy 70's look, but we keep the long subtle slubs common in vintage ring spun warp yarn denim.
