Torssons album Det Fjärde Bästa Bandet i Lund was recorded in the spring and summer of 2007 in the spacious rehearsal room that the band then had in an abandoned laboratory building at Kemicentrum in Lund. Not only was the space well-suited, the band had plenty of time and no haste would interfere with the recordings, and they let the whole thing go on for four months, something that was unusual for Torsson, who usually completed his records in a few weeks. Additional recordings were then made for three months in the significantly smaller studio Röda Rummet.
