A shirt with a story: For over two centuries chambray fabric has been used for traditional working shirts.
Our 1955 Engineer Chambray Shirt together with one of our raw denims is the perfect match for duty and leisure. Whether in the workshop or on your ride, you are always properly dressed.
The light and versatile chambray fabric made from ringspun cotton yarn has similar to denim an indigo blue warp and a white weft. Warp and weft are interwoven and resemble the look of canvas. A further similarity with the traditional Denim fabric is the typical fading of chambray. Over time the shape of the owners body imprints into the fabric and creates individual fadings, making each shirt unique and alive. Due to its sturdy nature and comfortable cut it is the ideal companion for every day.
The identity of Chambray shirts has been created over the last two centuries in which chambray fabric has been used for making finest American work wear and hereby creating a strong history and identity. Not only has chambray proved itself over time but also left an irrevocable foot print. From the American gold miners in the 19. Century to the sailors of the United States Navy in the Second World War they all knew about the characteristics of chambray shirts.
