Surfdog Records present Brian Setzer Orchestra “The Ultimate Collection”. The two-disc set contains 30 blistering tracks spanning Brian’s entire career from his days with the Stray Cats through the new heights of success reached with the Brian Setzer Orchestra. The collection was culled from two legendary performances. The first in front of a sold-out crowd at the Montreal Jazz Festival in 1995 when the band was just getting its legs and the second from a standing room only performance in Tokyo on the night he learned of his third Grammy win.
The album includes the hits Rock This Town, Stray Cat Strut, Rumble In Brighton, I Won’t Stand In Your Way, and Grammy-Award winning songs Jump Jive An’ Wail, Sleepwalk, and Caravan.
In addition to over two hours of music, the package includes an impressive 28-page, full-color booklet containing a collage of photos taken over the last 10 years and liner notes written by Brian himself, telling the story of a very wild ride from his perspective.
