This time out, Durty Mick regales you with a live split EP. The new 7'' features those English punk veterans FOREIGN LEGION and Florida street rockers, SUBURBAN LOCKDOWN.
Side ''A'' offers up two live FOREIGN LEGION numbers. First you get the melodic ''Where's Johnny Gone?'' This tune has a very comfortable STIFF LITTLE FINGERS type of guitar-and-bass chug to it. If you were in a bar with a couple of beers under your belt you'd probably be singing along. Song two on the FOREIGN LEGION side of this EP recalls the troubled reign of that iron-fisted bitch Maggie Thatcher twenty years ago. FOREIGN LEGION tips their hats to all the working class men and women that participated in the Miners' Strike.
Hold onto your scally cap! SUBURBAN LOCKDOWN throws down the street punk gauntlet! These animated punk rockers come out swinging with ''Rock and Roll Heroes.'' This melodic punk song has a solid guitar, bass and drums foundation with energetic lead vocals and plenty of harmonies. Song two by SUBURBAN LOCKDOWN is ''Locked In.'' This fucker rocks! This song gathers up some skinhead rock aggression and fucking runs with it! ''Locked In'' demonstrates that when they are at the top of their game, SUBURBAN LOCKDOWN could share a stage with the mighty NUTS & BOLTS, those well respected skins from Oakland, California. Very good!
