For Los Angeles-based soul-inflected punk band all it took was one song, penned by guitarist & founder Charlie Paulson (Goldfinger) titled "Last Fucking Hope," to light the fuse on a whole new musical powderkeg. With the addition of Christian Martucci (Chelsea Smiles & Dee Dee Ramone's band), Roy Mayorga (Nausea & Soulfly) and east-coast hardcore veteran Jason Christopher the band plays aggressive music that acknowledges American 60s soul.
The band says the following about their name, "When we came up with the name of the band senator Obama had not yet announced his intention to run for office. It was just our way of saying america needed a change & we could think of nothing more indictative of change in a racist, soulless system than a black President. The sad truth is we don’t support ANY of the candidates at this point."
