Joe Spinaci & The Brookoolino Orchestra |
 |
Joe Spinaci was working the night shift, when he decided it was time to revolutionize Malmö's music scene forever. He called some friends who all thought it was a great idea and the band was a fact! Inspired by Cab Calloway, Louis Prima och Perez Prado, 9 of Malmö's best musicians makes the house swing with a fantastic mixture of Rock-a-billy, Mambo Jambo & Gangsterswing. Saxophones, trombone, trumpet, piano, guitar, contra bass, drums and a glamorous singing beauty makes Joe Spinaci & the Brookolino Orchestra a sure bet for any festival, consert or party... Well all kinds of events! Capone being busted, Spinaci decided to keep out of the lime-light of his Chicago club. He finally surfaced in Little Italy, Brooklyn some years later.
Spinaci felt that the Brooklyn scene was short on action. After a shoot-out with Big Rude Jake, Spinaci took over the Pier 25 club, marking the beginning of the neo-swing movement. With roots in the gangster swing of Chicago, the rockabilly attitude, the sensuality of the mambo and the love for the Sicilian tarantella, Spinaci's style of music now resounds all over the world. The now legendary Spinaci has arrived in HepTown, Sweden with the Brookolino Orchestra to settle down and create a swing joint aiming right in between the rough Cotton Club atmosphere and the cozy friendliness of an Italian house party.
